No. WeeBe is not for dating or romantic connections. It’s purely for emotional support, companionship, and conversation in a respectful, anonymous environment.
- You sign up and choose your role: Bee or Keeper
- Bee filters anonymous profiles of Keepers based on shared interests and availability
- All conversations are audio-only and take place in a secure online environment
- Moderators may guide initial conversations during the pilot for safety and feedback
Yes! Anonymity is a core principle of WeeBe. Users are strictly prohibited from sharing any personal, identifying information such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, or images.
Yes, participation in the pilot program is completely free. In the future, there may be a minimal cost for Bees to book time with Keepers, with flexible pricing and a small platform fee to sustain the service.
WeeBe is built with safety in mind:
- All users are verified before joining
- Conversations are audio-only and may be recorded (with consent) for policy audit purposes.
- Moderators are present in early conversations to set expectations and ensure respectful behaviour.
- Any violations result in immediate removal from the platform.
No. While some mental health professionals are involved, WeeBe is not a replacement for therapy or professional counselling. It is a peer-to-peer support platform for conversation and connection.

Our team will coordinate schedules during the pilot. In future versions, Bees will be able to choose Keepers based on public profiles and book times based on mutual availability.
Yes! If you enjoy listening, helping others, and believe in the power of conversation, we’d love to hear from you. Keepers go through an onboarding and safety process before being matched.
Yes. Both Bee and Keepers are vetted individuals who receive basic listening, safeguarding, and empathy training before they begin. While Keepers are not professional therapists, they are carefully selected and supported to offer safe, meaningful conversations.
We have a full Safeguarding Policy in place. All moderators and staff are trained to respond to any concerns. If there’s any risk of harm, we will act in line with UK safeguarding laws, even if anonymity is compromised in those specific cases.

WeeBe is designed to be flexible. You decide when you're available for conversations, and we work around that. Most chats during the pilot phase are 45 to 60 minutes, and there’s no long-term obligation.
All you need is a device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) with internet access and the ability to join audio calls. No video is required or allowed on the platform.
Absolutely. WeeBe is for everyone, including those who may feel socially anxious or nervous. The environment is gentle, welcoming, and Keeper during the first session to help ease you in with fun icebreakers.
During the pilot, Bees will typically be matched with the same Keeper for three conversations. In the future, the platform may allow flexible matching based on preferences and availability.
Yes, we actively encourage feedback. Your insights are vital to shaping the future of WeeBe. After each conversation, we’ll check in with a short form or optional call.
